The data, commissioned by No Meat May, also found that 51 percent of participants associate a diet that contains a lot of meat with being more masculine. Moreover, 30 percent of men said they believe humans are meant to eat meat – and 39 percent of respondents said they’d prefer to not date a vegan. While 76 percent say they care about the environment… Only 26 percent would stop eating meat to reduce their environmental impact. Ryan Alexander is the Founder of No Meat May. In a statement sent to PBN, he said: “The survey has uncovered some worrying stereotypes around meat-eating and how consuming a diet that’s heavy in meat products is viewed by both men and women as being masculine, despite the associated health, environmental and social concerns. [Commentary] 'Vegan News' is All About FOOD! 🍠🌿 I Michael Corthell

by Michael Corthell, The Village Vegan Most of the top vegan news sites are (nearly) all about plant based foods with few stories about veganism itself. Why is that? Don't get me wrong, we vegans need to know about great recipes and all about meat substitutes. We even like to know how are favorite celebrities are getting along in their vegan life and what companies they are supporting and investing in. Veganism isn't about diet The Vegan Society : ''Preventing the exploitation of animals is not the only reason for becoming vegan, but for many it remains the key factor in their decision to go vegan and stay vegan. Having emotional attachments with animals may form part of that reason, while many believe that all sentient creatures have a right to life and freedom. Specifics aside, avoiding animal products is one of the most obvious ways you can take a stand against animal cruelty and animal e

Does Joe Biden want to cut America’s meat consumption? This lead to politician Lauren Boebert tweeting: “Joe Biden’s climate plan includes cutting 90 percent of red meat from our diets by 2030. “They want to limit us to about four pounds a year. Why doesn’t Joe stay out of my kitchen?” Boebert also tweeted a meme of former POTUS Donald Trump surrounded by fast-food burgers, mocking the alleged rule of one burger per month. Continue...
