   In this "Draw My Life" video, we hear the story of Martin, a mouse trapped in an animal testing laboratory. Martin's family is broken apart as they are taken one by one and used for various tests.  Every year, millions of mice, rats, rabbits, primates, cats, dogs and other animals are locked inside barren cages across the country.  They languish in pain, suffer from extreme frustration, ache with loneliness, and long to be free. Many of these tests are funded by taxpayer dollars.

  Zac Efron, Olivia Munn, Tricia Helfer, Pom Klementieff, Taika Waititi, and Ricky Gervais are tackling animal testing in an upcoming animated short film. Zac Efron and Ricky Gervais star in an upcoming short film that highlights the urgent need to end animal testing called Save Ralph. The stop motion animation is written and directed by Spencer Susser. It is produced by animal advocacy nonprofit Humane Society International (HSI) and Australian collective Blue Tongue Films, of which Susser is the only U.S.-based member, along with Arch Model Studio. The star-studded Save Ralph also features Olivia Munn, Tricia Helfer, Pom Klementieff, and Oscar winning filmmaker Taika Waititi as the titular Ralph — a rabbit who has lost hearing in one ear and sight in one eye due to his experience of extensive animal testing.   USDA inspection reports said animals overheated in cages and others died after botched surgeries. The University of Utah is under fire from an animal rights group over United States Department of Agriculture inspection reports that say laboratory monkeys died of “overheating and distress” in their cages and after surgical procedures. Michael Budkie, the head of Ohio-based animal welfare nonprofit Stop Animal Exploitation Now, which advocates against animal experiments, called inspection reports issued to the University of Utah disturbing. He said the SAEN found out about the report because the group routinely files records requests with different government agencies to obtain documents about animal testing facilities. Continue
