What is the Vegan Project - Global?

The Vegan Project Global is a movement aimed at promoting Veganism, a lifestyle that is free from animal products, including meat, dairy, eggs, and other animal-derived ingredients. The project aims to raise awareness of the ethical, environmental, and health benefits of a vegan lifestyle and to provide resources and support for those interested in making the transition to veganism.  The Vegan Project encourages people to adopt a vegan lifestyle by providing information on the impact of animal agriculture on the environment, the ethical concerns surrounding the use of animals for food, and the health benefits of a plant-based diet. The project also provides guidance on vegan nutrition, recipes, and resources for finding vegan-friendly products.  The Vegan Project seeks to create a community of like-minded individuals who are committed to promoting a vegan lifestyle and who support each other in their efforts to live compassionate and sustainable life.  What is Veganism? Veganism is a

I can’t find anything that interests me enough to go back to wo

[Business] The Body Shop Commits to Going Vegan

The cruelty-free beauty chain is working with The Vegan Society to remove all animal products from its offerings, 60 percent of which are currently vegan. Cruelty-free beauty retailer The Body Shop will be fully vegan by 2023. Founded in 1976 by British environmental activist Dame Anita Roddick, the retailer is working with The Vegan Society to remove remaining animal products from its formulations. Currently, 60 percent of The Body Shop’s offerings are clearly labeled as “vegan,” including its iconic perfume White Musk—which does not include the deer gland secretions found in non-vegan musk scents. “Our decision to go 100-percent vegan is a natural next step for The Body Shop,” Lionel Thoreau, Global Brand Director at The Body Shop, said. “Thanks to our founder Anita Roddick, we were the first beauty company to fight against animal testing in cosmetics, and the first major global beauty brand to use cruelty-free musk in our fragrances.” MORE

[Activism] Humane Hancock: Reviewing My Own Vegan Activism

Comments: "Great video! The point at 13:50 I've always found to be a tricky one, as it really can depend on the tone, which I've encountered also when discussing religious belief.  At times, people saying "I use to think that too" can come across as a bit pejorative, as if they once were naive and now have overcome the ignorance that this other person is still stuck in.  I've found this when people tell me "Oh yeah I also use to be an atheist, but here's what I learned about argument X for God which made me realize how wrong I was." I in turn have been very careful not to equate my own experience growing up as a Christian with that of others I speak with, but they really can be truly different.  Sort of goes back to the classic "I know how you feel" versus "I can't even imagine how you feel" approach..the better of which will depend on the person you're talking to. Anyways, more of a caveat than a critique! I'

[Activism] Vegan Activists Occupy London McDonald’s Outlets As Chain Urged To Go Plant-Based

It came after Animal Rebellion declared protests last week were 'just the beginning'. McDonald’s has taken a hit in the UK this past week after a series of protests at its four distribution centers resulted in menu shortages nationwide. Now, Animal Rebellion’s latest action has caused several of the fast-food chain’s restaurants to shut down seating areas. A sit-in protest took place on Sunday, May 30, in the bustling West End in Central London. Branded a ‘Mc-sit-in’, the action involved protestors gathering to eat vegan packed lunches together. As a result, Animal Rebellion confirmed ‘all’ outlets in the area closed down indoor seating. They branded it ‘McSelf Destruction’.   MORE

Animal Rights' Provocateur In Chief: PETA's Ingrid Newkirk | by Rich Roll

Thanks for watching! Read all about Ingrid here 👉🏼 https://bit.ly/richroll516    The legendary & controversial co-founder and president of PETA , Ingrid Newkirk has spent the better part of her life fighting for animal welfare around the world.   Today’s conversation is about Ingrid’s storied and controversial career. It’s about what it takes to not only spark, but lead a movement. And it's a gut check on the current status of animal rights — how far we’ve come, and how much father we have left to go.   This conversation was recorded pre-pandemic on February 18, 2020. Therefore there is no coronavirus discussion. However, I think Ingrid's message is profoundly of the moment given the undeniable role animal agriculture plays in fomenting disease.

[Ethics] Animal Rights Protestors Swamp McDonalds Across the UK

Animal Rebellion protestors launched a petition as part of the group's calls for McDonald's to go entirely plant-based by 2025: 'it doesn't end today' is their call. Mc Donald’s closes its doors in many of its restaurants, following our action this weekend. We are calling on McDonald’s to commit to become a fully plant based fast food chain, by 2025. They could lead the way with this. They have an opportunity to become the world’s first fast food chain to serve only sustainable meals. We don’t have long. We certainly don’t have long to prevent the worst excesses of the climate crisis hitting us. Governments are doing nothing. Corporations could lead the way. McDonald’s say they plan to introduce a new range of plant-based meat alternatives from 2021, but that doesn’t go far enough. We are in a climate and ecological emergency and that demands urgent changes to business as usual. Food production alone is set to push Earth past 1.5°C of warming according to an Oxford

[Activism] Want more answers after watching Seaspiracy?

A new documentary 'On the Frontlines' provides a deeper dive into the corrupt global fishing industry exposed by Seaspiracy. While Seaspiracy sparked debate and fueled much-needed interest in the health of the oceans, On the Frontlines shares Sea Shepherd’s work on the frontlines to help save the oceans. “Movies like Seaspiracy; short films like [On the Frontlines] are so important because the issues facing the oceans happen because the oceans are out of sight and out of mind for most people,” Sea Shepherd Director of Campaigns Peter Hammarstedt said.  “I think it was Sir Paul McCartney who said, ‘If slaughterhouses had glass walls, everybody would be vegetarian.’ Now imagine if those slaughterhouses were dozens or hundreds or even thousands of nautical miles offshore only accessible by boat. Sea Shepherd’s campaigns allow access to those slaughterhouses.”

[Activism] Undercover Chicken Farm Visit Leaves Vegan Youtuber Shocked!

Co-founder of Veganuary and VFC Matthew Glover recently met with vegan advocate & YouTuber Plant Based Leon to see what living conditions are like for 95% of chickens raised for meat in the UK, and 98% in the US.   With 25,000 chickens crammed under one roof - factory farms like this are a breeding ground for disease. Grown at four times their natural rate, each chicken struggles to support their own weight and often suffers from broken bones.

[Ethics] WHY VEGAN? | The Ethics of Dairy and Eggs

Most people can understand the argument behind being vegetarian and not eating meat, but what about milk? Cheese? Eggs?  The dairy and egg industries are just as bad as the meat industry, albeit more subtle perhaps. Today I'll explain to you my own personal motivations behind why I'm vegan - from an ethical perspective.
